description |
|
Approximate4ly 320 million years old, this very well preserved Goniatite was discovered circa 1920. The specimen has been preserved in pyrite and has lovely detail. It was collected from the Bullion Shales, very deep in the coal mine. These classic Goniatites from the Northern collieries are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain these days. This fine specimen resided in the late Professor GORDON WALKDEN collection. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. A really nice drawer fossil. |
