This really nice example of this popular carboniferous coral was discovered in the late 1960's and has resided in the university lapidary collection ever since it was collected from this world famous carboniferous locality. Treak Cliff is usually associated with Blue John but also beautifully preserved fossils can be found in the limestone. Approximately 345 million years old. |
