description |
|
These nautilus from the London Clay are probably the prettiest of nautilus to be found in the British Isles due to their white shell which sometimes exhibits irridescence. This is a particularly large specimen with the shell attached on one side and on the other, the shell has come away to reveal the lovely chamber detail. Part of the shell is missing which reveals the internal chambers and the cyphuncal of this classic English nautilus. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
