description |
|
This example of an oil shale shrimp was discovered in 1967 and has remained in the same collection ever since. The detail from the antenna to its eyes and lower carapace is exceptional. This particular specimen was from the J. Hearty collection. Approximately 345 million years old. A stunning fossil under magnification. |
