| description |
|
| This really well preserved fossil exhibits a stunning multi coloured promicroceras ammonite, next to a 3D fossil branch from the Monkey Puzzle tree family which is approximately 200 million years old. The base of the rock has been cut flat for upright display. An interesting feature with this fossil is the tip of the branch has been burnt in a forest, maybe a lightning strike all those millions of years ago. Very rare to see this preservation. Certainly one for the discerning collector as an aesthetic display piece. Discovered in 1994 and fully prepared by Andy Cowap using traditional techniques. No iron powder used.
