description |
|
A wonderful example of this rare species of Parkinsonia ammonite. The specimen has had many hours of preparation to carefully6 remove the hard rock covering the ammonite which has an immaculate centre. The specimen was discovered in 1996 by David Sole. There is also a well preserved Brachiopod shell below the ammonite (Sphaeroidothyris sphaeroidalis). The matrix has a cut base and attached is an anti slip and scratch pad for peace of mind when displaying on delicate surfaces. Approximately 167 million years old. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
