We believe this is a complete one off fossil and never to be repeated from this world famous iconic locality. This type of ammonite is usually associated with the areas around Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire. The ammonite is complete but crushed and lies on the surface of a complete nodule which is absolutely unique to this area. The nodule and the ammonite have been painstakingly prepared, and to maximise aesthetics a black wrought iron stand is included for display. This marvellous fossil is approximately 200 million years old and was discovered and prepared by Andy Cowap in 2009. One for the discerning collector or as a completely unique display fossil for around the home or indeed office space. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
