description |
|
This really beautiful example has been preserved in various shades of brown calcite and has an immaculate centre both sides. The specimen also has its counterpart preserved which is a lovely aesthetic feature. The ammonite was discovered in 1990 and has been fully prepared. There is a very small patch of restoration on two ribs, this doesn't detract from the ammonite. Approximately 200 million years old. A really quirky collection piece.
