description |
|
This large specimen, on its outer whorl, has been twisted out from the inner whorl, maybe by a worm tube or parasite as the ammonite was growing? Pathology in ammonites is a real growing interest for collectors. This ammonite has been fully prepared and is approximately 200 million years old. Discovered by David Sole in 1990 and prepared by Andy Cowap. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
