description |
|
A really nice example which was discovered in 1982 and has remained in the same collection ever since. The ammonite has been preserved within a hard chalk nodule and is approximately 96 million years old. Quality chalk ammonites are fast becoming increasingly difficult to obtain and the chalk fossil localities are fast dwindling. The ammonite has been fully prepared. The nodule's base is cut flat and attached is an anti slip and scratch pad for peace of mind when displaying on fragile surfaces. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
