description |
|
Exhibited on this piece of limestone is a dental crushing plate, several dermal denticles and a crinoid ossicle. The specimen has wonderful detail, especially under magnification. This famous quarry has been abandoned for over 60 years and is now heavily overgrown. This specimen was collected in 1959 and has resided in the late Professor GORDON WALKDEN collection ever since. An important and rare fossil for the collector. Approximately 345 million years old. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
