description |
|
This exceptionally rare trace fossil quite clearly shows where a king crab (Xiphosur) had its resting burrow. The species of the kind crab may have been (Selenichnites sp). Fossils of this quality are a moment captured in time! The specimen was unearthed at the famous Garden Cliff site in 1983 and has resided in the late GORDON WALKDEN collection. A remarkable one off fossil for the discerning collector. |
