description |
|
This Psiloceras exhibits beautiful natural irridescent colours which include reds, orange, green and yellow. The ammonite also has a very good centre. Alongside the ammonite lies an oyster morphing the umbilicus of a psiloceras which has attached itself in life. The rarity of this fossil is the oyster is completely unattached and has taken on the form of its host ammonite. You can even see the original concentric lines as the oyster grew some 210 million years ago. A completely one off and extremely rare fossil. This fossil resided in the late GORDON WALKDEN collection. |
