This truly bizarre shark tooth belonging to the genus of sixgill sharks, a deep water fish. They can grow up to eight metres in length and weigh up to 600kgs. This really good quality tooth also has preserved its root. Teeth of this quality and from this locality are extremely rare to find. This specimen was discovered in 1973 and resided in the late GORDON WALKDEN collection.
