This huge vertebra was off a massive fish that swam these seas over 55 million years ago. Brychaetus is an extinct genus of prehistoric bony tongue fish. Its one of the largest fish vertebra we have ever seen from this famous eocene locality. It resided in the late GORDON WALKDEN collection. A fantastic drawer fossil. |
