A lovely example complete with root, from this Jurassic shark. The specimen has a wonderful patina on its surface and is completely matrix free. Discovered in 1973 from a temporary exposure. A really nice drawer fossil for the collector.
Preserved on an piece of Frodingham Ironstone is this superb ammonite. The ammonite's shell has been carefully ground off to reveal the beautiful white calcite interior. The calcite exhibits beautiful sutures. These ammonites are highly sought after throughout the world, not just by collectors but by people looking for something different for the interior. From an old collection comes this three dimensional, very well preserved finger bone from possibly a juvenile cave bear. The specimen was found in a cave deposit many years ago. A rare and fine acquisition for the collector of British mammal remains.
