  ref VERT911
This specimen of a Gastrolith sometimes referred to as "stomach stones or Gizzard Stones" has a lovely patina opn it, almost polished infact. This probably belonged to a Sauropod due to these animals lacking suitable grinding teeth and was used to grind up food and to also help with digestion. A really interesting and conversational piece.
  Age Cretaceous, Wealden
  Size Size of Gastrolith 50mm x 35mm
location Brook Bay, Isle of Wight
