A lovely piece of original marble which only has one side ground gem smooth and a high polish applied. The detail and colours are fantastic within the cross-sections of ammonites (Promicroceras planicosta). Billions of these small ammonites perished in a single event some 200 million years ago. A very nice drawer specimen.
This piece of original Marston Marble has been ground gem smooth both sides and finally a high polish applied to reveal beautiful and intricate details within the cross-sections of ammonites. Discovered in 2012, every piece was taken out of this exposure, thus a new locality is waiting to be discovered.

This piece was discovered in 2012 in a temporary exposure at depth. Every piece was removed from the pit and no mor remains, so in future this iconic material will become very scarse. One for the discerning collector. Approximately 200 million years old.
