  This multi ammonite piece is highly aesthetic and would make a unique touch to any home or indeed office space. The matrix has a cut base for upright display. The ammonites have been fully prepared and the fossil was discovered in 1981 after a small landslip occurred. Approximately 200 million years old.

  This specimen has been carefully ground down and a high polish applied to reveal the lovely sutures. It is rare to see ammonites from the Yorkshire Coast prepared this way. Also on the block there is a small Dactylioceras. The specimen has a cut base for ease of display. A lovely specimen.

  The quarries of Scunthorpe are now sadly closed and these wonderful ammonites are no longer to be found. This specimen is a cut half of a large, calcified Eparietites. The surface has been ground gem smooth and a high polish applied to reveal the beautiful internal chambers which have been filled by various shades of calcite. An exceptional polished ammonite section from this classic locality.
