  In the centre of this highly aesthetic piece of matrix lies a superb example of this classic Lower Lias ammonite. The ammonite itself has been preserved in various shades of calcite especially the beautiful cream coloured chambers. The matrix has a level base for upright display and is approximately 200 million years old.
