  Firest described by (Donovan) this rare Coroniceras has been fully prepared one side only and has an immaculate centre. This specimen was collected in 1979 and has remained in the same collection ever since. The ammonite has been preserved in very dark brown calcite. One for the discerning collector of rare lower liassic ammonites. Approximately 206 million years old.

  This extremely large and unique example is not only twisted and buckled due to sickness, from being a baby ammonite, but has had its life ended by a fatal bite mark on its body chamber, probably by a predatory fish. The specimen has been prepared both sides so you really can see the pathology. The ammonite has been preserved in calcite and has an immaculate centre. A real one off specimen for the serious collector. Approximately 176 million years old.
