  This specimen has been carefully ground down and a high polish applied to reveal the lovely sutures. It is rare to see ammonites from the Yorkshire Coast prepared this way. Also on the block there is a small Dactylioceras. The specimen has a cut base for ease of display. A lovely specimen.

  The quarries of Scunthorpe are now sadly closed and these wonderful ammonites are no longer to be found. This specimen is a cut half of a large, calcified Eparietites. The surface has been ground gem smooth and a high polish applied to reveal the beautiful internal chambers which have been filled by various shades of calcite. An exceptional polished ammonite section from this classic locality.

  Approximately 200 million years old, this unique cabochon has been hand crafted out of a piece of Marston Marble. The detail and colours are lovely throughout. Billions of these small ammonites (Promicroceras planicosta), were killed in a single mass extinction. This cabochon will make a unique piece of jewellery.
