  This really aesthetically shaped piece of original Marston Marble has been ground gem smooth and a high polish applied to all sides except the back. The base has been cut flat and an anti slip and scratch pad attached for peace of mind when displaying on glass surfaces. Trillions of these small ammonites (Promicroceras Planicosta) were killed off in a single catastrophe some 200 million years ago.

  This wonderful display fossil has been ground gem smooth and a high polish applied to reveal marvellous colours and detail. Some of the ammonite's chambers are hollow and packed with tiny calcite crystals. This iconic fossil site was back filled some 20 years ago and so these world renowned ammonites are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. The ammonite's colours include, cream, green, brown and hints of pink. The matrix base is flat and attached is an anti slip and anti scratch pad for peace of mind when displaying on shiny surfaces. This fossil is not only a sound investment for the future but a unique one off item for the collector or interior designer. Approximately 200 million years old.
