Again another wonderful piece of original Marston Marble which was discovered in 2012 at great depth from a temporary exposure. Both sides of the marble has been ground gem smooth and a high polish applied to reveal the most beautiful colours and detail. The ammonites are Asteroceras Blakei and Promicroceras planicosta and still retain their original shells on the outside, preserved here as a white film. An iconic Liassic locality which yields no more, and until another site is discovered then this material will start to get extremely scarse in years to come. Approximately 200 million years old.
