Click to enlarge   Name Cenoceras sp. (Polished Nautilus)
  ref NAUT275
Collected just up the coast from Lyme Regis and collected some thirty years ago, is this tremendous and very rare nautilus. The nautilus is from the Margaritatus zone which is rare in itself as this zone is mainly associated with the ammonites Amaltheus and Lytoceras. A great amount of time has gone into preparing, grinding and finally polishing this fossil. The aperture of the nautilus has been "scooped" out an ideal display specimen. Also comes with a stand for display options, a beautiful and very decorative item!!
