This specimen is an extremely rare example of this highly sought after fish. The specimen is of a more or less complete fish palate which has fine detail throughout. The specimen is exremely rare and was found amongst the sands and clays on the foreshore on the Isle of Sheppey.
Again another well detailed fish coprolite which has been preserved within an ironstone nodule and is approximately 345 million years old. The nodule has been cut, ground gem smooth and finally a high polish applied. Undetermined fish.
The Isle of Sheppey is world famous for its London Clay deposits which still today turns up many interesting and rare fossils. This is a nodule which has been carefully prepared to reveal the inner structures of a large fish skull. The detail throughout the specimen is exceptional and would make a fantastic study specimen.
