  Again, another magnificent grade A cabochon which is packed with small ammonites (Promicroceras planicosta). Each cabochon is totally unique and billions of these molluscs were wiped out in a single catastrophe some 200 million years ago. The colours and detail throughout is wonderful.

  This beautifully crafted cabochon is Grade A Marston Marble. The ammonite inclusions are in cross-section . The detail and colours are magnificent. Every cabochon is totally unique and is approximately 200 million years old. Billions of these small ammonites (Promicroceras planicosta) were wiped out in a single catastrophe.

  This is quite an exceptional specimen as one side has been left natural showing all its wonderful sutures which is so characteristic of this very popular Yorkshire coast ammonite. The other side has been smoothed down and a high polish applied to reveal the calcite chambers. This is from an old Victorian collection and would enhance any Yorkshire coast ammonite collection.
