This Goniatite was collected in the 1930's and was rescued from a skip when a college decided to throw all their geological specimens away, apparently they had no room!! After preparation, their loss!! Approximately 320 million years old. A beautiful collection piece.

  A beautifully preserved specimen in a small chert pebble which was discovered from the famous Catton sponge bed in 1970. These sponges are uncommon in chert or flint nodules and make aesthetic additions to any fossil sponge collection.

  A really fantastic example of this colonial coral which many polyps went to make up the whole thing. This coral used to feed on plankton. Wonderful detail throughout this complete specimen. Preserved in solid calcite and is approximately 165 million years old.

  A superb and uncommon little specimen preserved within a small chert nodule. The detail on the sponge really stands out against the dark brown chert. Ths lovely sponge fossil was collected in 1970 and has remained in the same collection ever since. One for the collector of UK sponges.
