description
This crushing tooth belonged to the now extinct Hybodant shark. It was discovered in Wilmington Quarry which has no been longer accessible to collect from since the early 1990's. Sharks teeth from this famous chalk quarry are incredibly scarse. The tooth has some natural wear on the crown surface because of the shark's diet eg. different shellfish. The tooth lies on a small piece of natural grainy chalk and was discovered in 1974. A real collectors piece.
