description  
Birgeria is an extince genus of ray-finned fish from the Triassic period. This exceptionally rare piece is the upper snout tip and inside is part of the jaws and two teeth which are articulated. This specimen was identified by Bristol Museum in the early 1980's and it was incredibly rare then! The fossil was discovered in 1974 and has remained in the same collection ever since.
